So the last week was spent in Melbourne with Kirsty and Tabitha. We went over to see an eye specialist for Tabitha named Dr Kowal (pronounced Koval) to see what he had to say as we weren’t completely happy with the doctor here in Adelaide.
We drove over on the Monday (12th April) and spent the first night in Ararat as Tabitha had, had enough by then. The Tuesday we went into Melbourne via Daylesford where we had a look at a few of the springs and tasted some. Some free advice they are AWFUL!! Just tastes of sulphur and not much else.
Wednesday we had an appointment at the University of Melbourne Eye Clinic to check the waveforms of Tabitha’s eye to determine the type of Nystagmus (involuntary moving of the eyes) she has.
Thursday was the appointment with Dr Kowal and he was quite pleased with everything and recommended surgery to straighten Tabitha null point to the middle as opposed to having a 30 degree head turn.
All in all was a good trip – will be heading back later in the year for Tabitha to have the operation.
